Conçu par whitepapierstudio et le photographe, cet ouvrage est la première monographie consacrée au travail de Yann Stofer. Il rassemble une décennie de snapshots, de photographies que l’on pourrait communément qualifier de vernaculaires et de portraits noirs et blancs à la fois puissants et intimes. La plupart de ces images ont été prises alors que l’artiste était en tournée avec son groupe Adam Kesher à travers l’Amérique du Nord et l’Europe. Cet ouvrage est accompagné d’un essai de Julien Perez.

“In Spring of 1996, my senior year of high school, I documented a group of 8th grade girls who were notorious for their crass behavior and allegedly bad hygiene…”This is a short documentary about a group of 13-year-old riot grrrls in Los Angeles who were socially ostracized at their school by their peers and upperclassmen. Everyone in the schoolyard held strong opinions about these so-called “dirty girls”, and meanwhile the “dirty girls” themselves aimed to get their message across by distributing their zine across campus.
